This Privacy Policy explains how Elliott Hamilton Law (referred to as “EHL”, “we”, or “us”) collects and uses information about our clients (referred to as “clients” or “you”). It also describes the rights you have in relation to the information which is collected, used or processed by EHL. This Privacy Policy applies when you use our websites, mobile applications, and other online products and services that link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, our “Services”) or otherwise interact with us.

     ABOUT US
We are a law firm based in Saint Kitts and Nevis with practices in Antigua and Barbuda, Guyana and Saint Lucia. We provide legal services to our client pursuant to specific engagement agreements. This website is used for marketing and informational purposes. We also have an internal web application tool which stores such information provided by our clients. All of our web applications are hosted on Amazon Web Services and managed by Heroku Inc, a company owned by Salesforce Inc. 

2.     COLLECTION OF INFORMATION

2.1. We collect information you provide directly to us. For example your name, address, phone number, e-mail address, data about the device and network you use, such as your hardware model, operating system version, mobile network, unique device identifiers, browser type, IP address and access dates and times, links you clicked to come to this website and any other information you choose to provide. 

2.2. We do not collect payment information through our website. We rely on third parties to process payments. Any information you provide to facilitate such a payment is subject to the third-party payment processor’s privacy policy, and we encourage you to review this policy before you provide any information to the payment processor.

2.3  Information Collected by Cookies and Similar Tracking Technologies: We use tracking technologies, such as cookies and web beacons, to collect information about you. 

2.4  We may derive information or draw inferences about you based on the information we collect. For example, we may make inferences about your location based on your IP address or infer reading preferences based on your reading history.

We use the information we collect to:
3.1. Provide legal advice or other legal services.

3.2. To manage and /or administer our clients’ companies or business relationship with our office, including processing payments, invoicing, or providing any ancillary services to our clients.

3.3. For the purposes of compliance with our legal obligations such as record keeping obligations, anti-money laundering, fraud and crime prevention and detection purposes.

3.4. To contact our clients and communicate with our clients regarding legal services, to provide updates on those legal services, to provide announcements, newsletters, articles, or share information.

3.5. To provide updates, reminders, requests and directions relevant to the legal services you require.

3.6. To protect the security of communication systems, websites and other systems, and to detect security threats, fraud or other criminal or malicious activities against our chambers.

     SHARING OF INFORMATION


We share your information in the following circumstances:

4.1. With an associate or entity on a confidential basis, who may only use your information for the purposes listed above and who will be bound by law or contract to protect your information and only use your information in accordance with our instructions. 

4.2. With any government or legal entity when we are required to by law for the purposes of fraud and crime prevention, to investigate actual or suspected fraudulent or criminal activities including financial institutions and regulatory bodies.

4.3. For the purposes of processing an application on behalf of any of our clients.

4.4. With courts, law enforcement authorities, regulators or attorneys or other parties where it is reasonably necessary for the legal services or for the purposes of a confidential alternative dispute resolution process.

4.5. To monitor website usage in order to help us develop our website functionality or our services.

4.6. With your consent or at your direction.

     CORRECTING AND UPDATING PERSONAL DATA
5.1. You must inform us immediately where your personal information has changed, or where you believe that the personal information we hold is inaccurate. 

5.2. EHL will not be held responsible for any loss that may arise due to us having any inaccurate, incomplete, or otherwise deficient personal information which you provided to us.

     THIRD-PARTY EMBEDS
6.1. Google Analytics Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. Google uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of our Service. This data is shared with other Google services.
6.2.  Google may use the collected data to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network. 
6.3. You can opt-out of having made your activity on the Service available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The add-on prevents the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js and dc.js) from sharing information with Google Analytics about visits activity.
